Course route - CONFIRMED FOR 2012
The 2011 course is here
Course description - CONFIRMED FOR 2012
It starts with two 1 mile laps to reduce the amount of the route on the public highway and remove the need for a road closure.
Then we are out onto the Taff Trail for the out and back course with a loop at the end.
The loop goes along the Cefn-Glas road, drops down into Quakers Yard and rejoins the Taff Trail.
At Pontygwaith we have had to add a dog-leg up the Trevethick Trail - so as to get the 20 miles in.
There will be marshals to turn the runners around on the dog-leg - you will for a short distance run against each other so please keep to the right.
On returning to Pontygwaith you drop down to 'The Steps'.
After 'The Steps' you return on the outward section of the Taff Trail to the finish at RaceHQ.
Finally, when approaching the RaceHQ we have removed the need to do a lap of the 'upper' car park. Just continue on the Taff Trail path and head directly to the finish.
